The 100 Mile Day!

Just talked to Jeff and he was still recovering from riding 100 miles today. He said it was up and up and up and up and up. The road would then curve and he thought he would go down finally, but around the curve was more climbing. It was a 12% grade in many places. And once you go up all that way, you seem to come down in a hurry. They were hitting 40 miles an hour or more on the way down. Now that would scare the socks right off my feet! But Paul, Gunnar, Steve, Jeff, and Jay had made it safely to the Baptist church in Newport, Arkansas, by 4 or 5 p.m. The others were still out there peddling. Luckily the last 20 miles or so is on flat land.

Tomorrow 91 miles of biking to Memphis, Tenn. They will need their sleep tonight!

Jeff keeps commenting about how awesome the members of the team are. He has found new brothers and sisters on this trip. He is so blessed to be able to be a part of this trip and to partner with these organizations. God is really, really good!
