One Mile for Each Life

Yesterday the group did the second 100-mile day. It was a record day. But it was they day before that really stuck in their minds. Pastor Tom Roepke (one of the riders) put it this way in his blog:

there was a sobering moment at 2:42 pm cst as we hit the 162 mile mark…we had traveled one mile for each life that was lost in joplin, mo. riding along side pastor aaron has added so much more to this effort.  hearing stories of how he is continuing to process through what no seminary training can ever prepare a person for.  his resolve and leadership are a huge encouragement to each one of us on the team.

Jeff says basically the same thing. Pastor Aaron is amazing. He is riding for his church, his town, his God. He wasn’t a bike kind of person until this opportunity came up. Just three weeks before the trip, he joined the Venture team and started training. He’s keeping up just fine. His spirit and determination spur the others to be better, go further, do more. God puts teams together. And He did a really great job with this one!

You can help people Aaron represents by going to the Venture or the Convoy of Hope sites and donating. You can make a difference. Join the effort!
