Made it to Missouri

Jeff says the trip has been great so far. Lots of good conversation and getting to know each other. They stopped at Oklahoma Joe’s in Kansas City, MO, to have some great barbecue on the way to the team meeting spot in Springfield, MO. There were seven members from the Minnesota area traveling together in the van: Paul, Jeff, Aaron, Deb, Jay, Ben, and Tristan.

They arrived in Springfield around 10 p.m. Tonight (Thurs.) they sleep at Hope Church. Tomorrow the rest of the team should arrive and team training will begin. They will all head to Joplin to see the devastation up close and to do more training Saturday. They will stay overnight in Joplin and then peddle their way to Branson (over all those massive hills) on Sunday.

I will update the blog as often as I get info from the team. Please keep them in your prayers. There aren’t a lot of bike lanes where they are riding and the terrain is not what many are used to. Thank you!

Dear Father, protect the team as they rest tonight. Prepare their hearts, bodies, and souls for Your work. Guide them and give them wisdom as they get to know each other and work together for the victims of those deadly tornadoes. Open their hearts and minds to Your truth and direction. Use their gifts in ways they haven’t even imagined. Surprise them with their abilities and usefulness. Bring them together as one family. Bless this team in all possible ways. Let Your light shine through each member of this team. Amen!

Cool!

Oklahoma Joe’s? In Missouri?

Joe needs a geography lesson. 😉

Praying for a great and safe trip for Jeff.
