“Be Present” is the theme for the Catalyst Conference that the team will be taking part in at the of the ride. On their website, Catalyst asks “What are you doing presently?” Presently Jeff is biking his way to Memphis, Tennessee. He put his legs where his heart was and is pushing himself beyond his comfort zone to help people who really need help. I think the biking is going very well, but his body is letting him know just how much it does not like the sleeping on church floors!

The people impacted by the tornadoes are “regular” people like us. People who had homes, cars, and businesses—and lost it all. Some lost wives, husbands, kids, parents, siblings, friends. Yes, insurance will pay for some things, but when 8,000 houses were wiped out at once, it takes a while to build them all back. What are those people doing in the meantime? What about the people who were under insured, who only had liability on their cars, who lost their businesses or jobs and are still waiting to get to work? What about the hundreds of people who simply need clothes? Or who have no records so are having problems getting forms filled out and money coming in? For all these people Convoy of Hope is there. They are providing the necessities. And Jeff is helping Convoy of Hope help them.
